Ceramic Café Concept Wins Tourism Award

The Royal Stafford Ceramic Café in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England has been awarded an Assured Visitor Attraction plaque by the Heart of England Tourist Board to recognise the facilities offered at the venue as being of particular interest to visitors and tourists.

Opened in 2000, the Ceramic Café features a painting studio where visitors can decorate their own ceramic souvenir, take coffee and make purchases in the factory shop which is set alongside the café facilities. The award plaque has just been unveiled.

Since its opening, the Ceramic Café has extended the services within the facility to include a wider selection of pieces to decorate and purchase and has added the opportunity to hold both children's parties and celebrations for adults. As a result, the number of visitors - both from the local Potteries area and further afield - has increased.
