Re-designed pumps well suited to ceramic applications
Blagdon Pump Ltd, the leading UK manufacturer of air-operated double diaphragm pumps, has launched revised versions of its 2in and 3in aluminium pumps.
These are completely re-designed units which carry on the reputation for high quality pumps for which Blagdon is noted, whilst showing a considerable price reduction over the models they replace. Flow rates are improved and the air valves, which are fully externally serviceable, require no lubrication and are guaranteed stall-free.
Weighted balls are fitted as standard, a feature particularly suited to the ceramic industry, where the products handled have relatively high specific gravities.
The Blagdon range also includes a "full flow" high pressure pump capable of flow rates in excess of 100 gallons/min (30 cu.m/hr) and pressures up to 17 bar. This pump offers a cost effective alternative to the pumps traditionally used to feed filter presses and slip ring mains.
