British Ceramic Tile Has Sights Set On USA

British Ceramic Tile (Heathfield, Newton Abbot, Devon) has broadened its horizons to the USA, making its first ever American export to residential and commercial flooring suppliers, Bennett’s Carpets of Kentucky. The company said that this was an exciting achievement for the British manufacturer and demonstrated its increasing strength in the market and its ability to compete against top suppliers from around the world.

Within an opening £28,000 order, British Ceramic Tile will be supplying a wide range of complementary wall and floor tile products from its most recently launched Dartmoor Naturals and Elgin Marbles ranges to the US outlet.

The company is also currently embarking on the final stages of its multi-million pound factory expansion. The growth of the factory is expected to more than double ceramic tile production on site, a development much needed to cope with increasing demand for British Ceramic Tile products.

“This is a huge accomplishment for British Ceramic Tile, something that will inspire confidence in our workforce and of which we can be justifiably proud,” commented Nigel Croll, Marketing Manager. “As we continue to reap the benefits of our huge investment programme, we will become more attractive as a supplier to markets beyond those on our immediate doorstep. This is continuing evidence of that trend that will enable us to go from strength to strength.”
