Piezo Ceramic Actuators & Custom Subassemblies
Lambda Photo (Harpenden, Herts, England) reports that the new 50-page 'Piezo Ceramic Actuators & Custom Subassemblies' catalogue from PI Ceramic in Germany is now available. In addition to the hundreds of precision actuators and components, both standard and customised, the catalogue is said to be an essential reference book on piezos and their applications. A tutorial on piezotechnology is included and uses in high-tech fields from semiconductor production and test to aerospace engineering are discussed.
The product groups featured in the catalogue include low voltage devices, mini-actuators, high force actuators with up to 10,000N capabilities, bender actuators and scanner tube actuators.
Many application areas which use the sub-nanometre precision and sub-millisecond response of PI's products are described. These include data storage, photonics alignment and packaging, biotechnology and life sciences, micro dispensing, optics, lasers, interferometry, scanning microscopy, precision machining and semiconductor metrology and test.
