Six Killed in Accident at Indian Tile Plant
Six labourers were killed at a ceramic tile plant in Jambuda near Morbi, Gujarat, India on 7 June 2008, it’s been reported. According to local reports, two of the men entered an underground tank for cleaning and when they did not emerge, four others entered the tank to investigate but they too succumbed.
Early reports spoke of the deaths being from inhalation of poisonous gases but management have said there are none in the area. It is thought that all six men suffocated. An investigation is underway.
