Yageo Begins Construction of Second Plant in Suzhou

The major Taiwanese passive component maker Yageo Corporation (Hsin Tien, Taipei) reports that it recently began the first phase construction of its second plant in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.

Yageo says that it plans to transfer all its production lines for multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) from the first plant to the new Suzhou plant. The company expects to complete the first phase construction of the new plant by early next year.

Yageo's total monthly capacity for MLCCs is 11 billion units, 9 million units of which are manufactured in Taiwan and rest in Suzhou.
