Wesgo Achieves ISO 14001

Wesgo GmbH (Erlangen, Germany), a division of Morgan Advanced Ceramics, has achieved certification to ISO 14001. The achievement represents the company's commitment to continuous improvement and to minimising any harmful effects on the environment that could occur as a result of its production processes. Manufactured at the plant are innovative technical ceramic components that are used in a range of industrial applications such as lasers and power tubes.

The facility was awarded its certificate following the implementation of a 15-month strategic plan to ensure all new procedures and documentation were in place. The 75 staff at the site were all involved in the process and have been kept up to date with and trained in the new procedures.

"Obtaining the ISO 14001 certificate is an important step for us and our customers," explained Herbert Mueller, Managing Director of Wesgo. "It reassures them that they are partnering with a responsible business and it enables them to offer that reassurance, in turn, to their customers - something that has become increasingly important in the last couple of years."
