Academy of Ceramics Proceedings
Faenza-based publisher Techna Srl has announced the publication of 'The Art of Ceramics: The Blend of Art and Science in Technology'. This volume collects the Proceedings of the 3rd Forum of the Academy of Ceramics held in Ravello and Sorrento in June 2000.
The papers presented during the forum showed a good blend of the various aspects of the subject as represented by Art of Ceramics, the Art of Ceramics Processing, The Art of Generating New Special Functions in Ceramics etc.
The book has been printed in the memory of Academician William Dave Kingery, one of the most famous ceramists of recent decades, who died shortly after the Academy Forum. The book includes the presentations given by the Laureates for the 3rd International Ceramic Prize, awarded by the Academy to R S Naslain (France), J B MacChesney (USA) and D W Johnson (USA).
