Second Showing for Portuguese Ceramic Supply Event

INTERMAQUINA 2003 - the 2nd Fair of Machinery and Equipment for the Ornamental Stone, Ceramic and Glass Industries - will take place in Oporto, Portugal from 13-16 March 2003.

The organiser, EXPONOR, says that following the positive results from the first exhibition, and as a Portuguese leader in the industrial and machinery fairs segment, it will once again back a fair that possesses all the conditions to be a success.

The show will take place in a single area permitting, says the organiser, integration and making the most of the advantages that ensue from placing offer and demand within the same space.

EXPONOR highlights various advantages presented by this event:

• The gap in the market: non-existence of other fairs with the same purpose at a national level.
• The vertical offer: great synergy between the fairs and the sectors in question (rock/stone, glass/ceramics).
• the existence of a thoroughly dynamic market as far as demand is concerned.
• Decorative tiles and ornamental stone being truly a feature of the country: Portugal is the eighth largest producer and exporter in the world of this prime material.
• The Portuguese Ceramic Industry, besides employing over 35,000 people, contributes towards the trade balance of the country with a foreign trade surplus of around 300 million euro.
• The high profile national and international promotional campaign to attract both exhibitors and visitors.
