Sterling Tubes Sets Up Stock Facility for High Temperature Grade Tubing

Sterling Tubes (Halesowen, West Midlands, England) - part of the Sandvik Group - has set up a stock of T310 stainless steel, high temperature grade seamless pipe and tube in order to supply and support its distributor customers who specialise in and stock high temperature alloys.

Sterling 310 stainless steel tube is now available in selected sizes between 3/8" and 6" nominal bore schedule pipe and 13.5mm OD to 114.3mm OD metric tube.

Suitable for high temperature applications - such as muffle tubes, pyrometer sheathing or in high temperature oxidation furnaces - Sterling 310 is a 25% chromium, 20% nickel austenitic stainless steel with good oxidation resistance. It is supplied in accordance with ASTM A312, NFA 49-117 and SEW 470/DIN 17758 PK.1 standards and is said to offer better high temperature performance and a longer life than traditional 18% chromium stainless steels.

Sterling Tubes says that this new facility enables it to further improve its high level of service to its customers.
