Serbian/Bulgarian Investment in Majority Stake in Keramika

Serbian economic press reported that representatives of the Serbian Privatisation Agency and the Share Fund signed a contract on the sale of shares of the construction ceramics producer Keramika with a consortium comprising Inter Gas from Belgrade, Serbia and Oil BG from Sofia, Bulgaria.

The basic elements of the contract are reportedly a sale price of €1.126 million and an investment programme worth €3 million. The buyer has also accepted the minimum obligations of the social welfare programme.

At the public tender for the sale of 62.8% of Keramika’s assets, announced on 28 September 2007, the abovementioned consortium submitted the only bid. At the third session, the tender commission decided to begin talks with the sole bidder.
