SACMI Whiteware Inaugurates new Verona Headquarters

The new layout of SACMI Group's NIV's new headquarters in Mozzecane, Verona comprises 900 sq.m. of office space, 5,600 sq.m. occupied by the factory floor plus another 5,600 sq.m. under construction and other facilities covering a further 240 sq.m. The company has enlarged its working space in response to the overall expansion of the sanitaryware and tableware sector within the SACMI Group following the setting up of the new Whiteware division.

NIV is one of the five companies in the division, four of which are based in Italy (NIV, Gaiotto, Sacmi Imola and Sacmi Forni) and one in Germany (SAMA). Eugenio Ferragina, the Managing Director of the Whiteware division, said: "The establishment of the Whiteware division was a well-considered strategical choice. It means the birth of a powerful new trademark for this important part of Sacmi and is sure to bring even greater value to all the individual trademarks within the Group. Our aim is for the Whiteware division to reach a turnover of 150 billion lire within three years. The decision to set up this division was a natural one which evolved from the general company objectives. The project began to take shape in 1996 because we saw that whiteware was already accounting for a turnover of 20 billion lire. This figure increased to 80 billion lire in 2000 - 90% of which came from exports."
