Rimini Fiera to Build More Halls

The organisational efforts for the next Tecnargilla are under way. The 20th International Exhibition of Technology and Supplies for the Ceramic and Brick Industries takes place at the Rimini Exhibition Centre, Italy from 28 September to 2 October 2006.

"Our modern and prestigious exhibition centre is preparing to accommodate the show with larger spaces than ever before," explained Rimini Fiera Chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni. "An expansion programme to increase the gross exhibition space to 109,000 square metres is about to begin and will be completed by July 2006. This programme involves building two new halls, new service areas and a new east side entrance."

Tecnargilla overlaps with the world's largest tile show, Cersaie in Bologna, and Marmomacc in Verona (a show devoted to the marble industry). Pierluigi Ponzoni, Chairman of Acimac which is Tecnargilla's promoting association, said: "The good results achieved by Italian companies in 2004 (a 13.6% increase in total turnover and a 17.6% in export turnover compared to 2003) confirm the country's dominant position in this sector, making Rimini the natural venue for the world's pre-eminent showcase of technology for the ceramic industry".
