Rheometer With Added Yield Stress

Brookfield Viscometers Ltd (Harlow, Essex, England) has launched a new top of the line rheometer, designated the DV-III Ultra. Based on the DV-III+ programmable instrument, the DV-III Ultra offers complete viscosity characterisation and yield stress measurement.

Said to be ideal for research and quality control applications, it is claimed to be a sophisticated yet versatile instrument with continuous sensing and display of viscosity, torque and temperature. The rheometer can be used in stand-alone mode or with purpose-designed software for programmable computer control.

Rheoloader and EZ-Yield software is included, the former creating R&D programs for viscosity flow characterisation or to customise and automate QC test methods and the latter to create test programs which measure yield behaviour.

Optional Rheocalc32 software provides complete PC control of rheological testing, enabling complete viscosity flow curves to be quickly captured and displayed.
