Retsch Celebrates 90 Years in Sample Preparation

The well known German manufacturer and supplier of products for the preparation and characterisation of solids, Retsch GmbH (Haan, Germany), is celebrating its 90th anniversary in the business. Founded by F Kurt Retsch in 1915, the company soon turned into one of the leading suppliers of laboratory mills and particle analysers for sample preparation and quality control. With affiliates in the USA and Japan and more than 70 distributors world-wide, Retsch has a strong presence in all international markets.

A spokesman said: "The company's philosophy is based on customer orientation and leading edge technology. True to the principle of the Greek philosopher Aristotle, 'The whole is more than the sum of its parts', Retsch develops instruments whose high-quality components are designed for perfect interaction. Thus, they not only guarantee representative and reproducible results for grinding and particle analysis but also allow for easy and comfortable operation.

"Through continuous cooperation and exchange with universities, research institutes and customers from various sectors of industry, Retsch makes sure that the instruments are state-of-the-art technology and increase customer benefits."

The company's free-of-charge grinding and particle analysis of samples supplied by customers as part of the application consultation has a long tradition. In time for this 90th anniversary, Retsch extended and completely refurbished its application laboratory, thus ensuring high quality service continues into the future.
