New Porcelain Tile Plant for Peronda

The Spanish ceramic tile manufacturer Peronda (Ceramica Peris y Cia), which is based in Onda, Castellon, is just bringing a new glazed porcelain tile production unit on line.

The new plant consists of two Sacmi PH4900 presses with an inter-column clearance of 2450mm, the associated horizontal ECP3070/21 dryers and a 119.7-metre FMS2550 kiln. The plant will produce floor tiles.

Peronda has also become the first ceramic tile manufacturer to obtain Spain's AAI (Integrated Environmental Authorization) certificate, something which will be required of all manufacturers in that country from 2007.
