System's Qualitron Technology Establishes Itself in Mexico

Leading Italian ceramic machinery supplier System Group (Fiorano, MO, Italy) has signed two important contracts with Interceramic and Lamosa, major Mexican tile producers.

At the Interceramic factory 'Planta 9' in Chihuahua, the designed system includes 18 Rotocolor S4LL Duplex units and different solutions for handling and palletising, three Easy Line automatic sorting lines, with three Qualitrons – the advanced tile inspection devices for tile selection automation, offering information about product quality, structure and shade, in real time. The supply will be made in July.

In Monterrey, at the 'Planta Piso' of Lamosa, System is currently supplying 24 Rotocolor S4 Dual units, different solutions for handling and palletising, three Easy Lines and three Qualitrons.

The systems are similar, being equipped with two kilns producing glazed single-fired floor tiles in 40cm x 60cm and 60cm x 60cm; they are already arranged for porcelain stoneware production. Interceramic has an installed capacity of 14,000m²/day, Lamosa that of 12,000m²/day. Both factories should start production by end of October.

System said that the spreading of new-generation Qualitron systems was worth noting: after many months of industrial tests, they were fully appreciated by the two Mexican companies.

Six and a half years ago, in Monterrey, Mexico, the company set up a branch (System Norte America) with 23 people, offering technical service, including to the US and Guatemala, along with two separate branches in San Luis Potosi and Chihuahua.
