Steve Lunt Joins Elmeceram

Steve Lunt, former sales director at Thuringia Netzsch UK, has joined the French based ceramic machinery manufacturer Elmeceram.

The appointment, which took effect from 1 August 2002, will be located in the UK where Elmeceram has one of its two subsidiaries - Elmeceram UK Ltd - the other one being in the USA (Elmeceram USA Inc).

Steve Lunt said: "I am delighted to be joining such a progressive company, with a world-wide reputation for quality engineering and innovation".

Steve will initially act as a consultant for an interim period of a few months, whilst he spends some of his time on reorganising a family business, before taking a top management role within the group early in 2003.

Don Jones, the managing director of Elmeceram, based in Oradour sur Vayres in France, is equally pleased with the appointment and said: "This is a clear indication of our continued commitment to expansion in the UK market and in particular the City of Stoke-on-Trent. We firmly believe in the future of the tableware industry in Stoke and we endeavour to support our numerous and loyal customers with a local service.

"Steve will prove to be a tremendous asset to our group. He has vast experience, an excellent reputation within the industry and is forward thinking - exactly the right profile for Elmeceram."

Elmeceram has also just announced that it has appointed Stuart Jones as a non-executive director of Elmeceram UK Ltd. A major shareholder of Elmeceram SA, Stuart also runs DCS - a company specialising in digital printing - out of the same premises in Clough Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, as Elmeceram UK.
