HKR Announces Results for 2000/2001
HKR International Ltd - the parent company of Imperial Bathroom Products Ltd (Zhongshan, Guangdong, PR China) - announced an attributable profit for the year ended 31 March 2001 of HK$438.8 million (previous year = HK$790.9 million). Basic earnings per share were HK$0.38 compared with HK$0.68 in the previous year.
Turnover was HK$2.8 billion compared with HK$2.9 billion in the previous year.
Expansion in the group's manufacturing business continued. The bathroom furnishing operations in China have embarked on product and market diversification to cope with rising consumer expectations and more competitive local and overseas markets.
It is anticipated that the market situation will remain highly competitive in the next few years. To bring stable income and steady growth, the Group says it will continue focussing on superior quality development as well as identifying suitable investment and development projects in South-East Asia and China.
