High Temp Furnaces in Larger Sizes

Lenton has added three high capacity models to its range of silicon carbide heated chamber furnaces with operating temperatures up to 1600oC. The 57-litre capacity is more than twice that of the largest existing model.

The furnaces are available with 1400oC, 1500oC and 1600oC maximum temperatures. Typical applications include ceramics processing, general heat treatment, thermal ageing and thermal shock procedures.

The SiC elements are mounted in the sides and roof of the chamber and radiate heat directly on to the workpiece. This feature, combined with low thermal mass ceramic fibre insulation, provides rapid heating and cooling and low running costs, says Lenton.
