Big Upswing for Dynasty Ceramic
Dynasty Ceramic PLC submitted its unreviewed financial statement and consolidated financial statement for the second quarter and first half of the year to The Stock Exchange of Thailand on 26 July 2002.Net profit in the second quarter of 2002 was 99 million baht, which was 70 million baht - or 341% - up on the second quarter of 2001. Net sales increased by 166 million baht, or 44%, due to the plant expansion.
For the first half of 2002, net profit was 192 million baht, which was 129 million baht - or 305% - up on the same period last year. Sales volume in the first quarter of 2002 had contributed to the improved results, registering a 47% increase. The company was also successful in reducing its production costs.
In its statement, the company recognised the profit of its subsidiary company for the first half of 2002 of 129 million baht which, like the other figures, was substantially up from the same period last year.
