Drayton Beaumont Kilns Commits to Ceramitec

Drayton Beaumont Kilns Ltd (Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, England), the largest UK kiln builder with a technical sales team boasting 200 years' experience in the ceramic industry, has committed itself to exhibiting at Ceramitec (16-20 September 2003, Munich, Germany) and says it will take the opportunity to demonstrate just why it has gained orders worth a projected £7 million in the period from September 2002 to Ceramitec 2003.

Contracts for new kilns - the company pointing to many clients delivering repeat business because of its reputation for quality, reliability and the right price - include Dudson, Jacuzzi, Foseco USA, Churchill, Lobatse Clay Works (Botswana), Thermal Ceramics, Monno Ceramic Industries (Bangladesh), Ross Catherall Ceramics, VINACEGLASS (Vietnam), Johnson Matthey and Unitec Ceramics.

However, Drayton Beaumont has emphasised that its much increased turnover actually reflects an even better performance than it seems at first glance, since a good deal of the work has also involved the lower cost options of kiln refurbishment and relocation. Manufacturers are, says the company, appreciating this cost efficient solution, especially where capital expenditure is currently a constraint and extremely quick installation is paramount. Top name clients calling on this service have included Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Continental China (South Africa), Dudson and Portmeirion Potteries.

The merging of Drayton Kilns and Jack Beaumont Kilns in 2002 meant the emergence of one of the most experienced units in this field and there will be a chance at Ceramitec to see how just busy and successful they have been. The company says that with rapidly changing production strategies in the industry, it has become expert at helping to source the right kiln and getting it in, up and running for the customer.

Meanwhile, the company's new kilns continue to be manufactured for all sectors of the ceramic industry, not only in the Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent factory in England, but also in several key ceramic manufacturing areas of the world.

Against the trend, Drayton Beaumont has increased the size of its production unit, made further senior appointments and has continued to swell the order book.

All the very latest references will be amply illustrated on the company's Ceramitec stand this year - which is substantially larger than the one they took in 2000 - and a typical kiln car and the trademarked Dri-lok refractory system will also be featured as part of the presentation. The company's international sales team will be on hand during the week as well as representatives from the agency network that has been put in place.
