Draiswerke GmbH acquires Draiswerke Inc

Draiswerke GmbH (Mannheim, Germany) has acquired all the shares of Draiswerke Inc of the USA. This action removes a cause of considerable confusion in the market and strengthens the Drais brand, says the company.

Draiswerke GmbH was founded in 1896 and has developed into one of the world's leading suppliers of specialised reaction vessels and equipment for dispersing, wet grinding, mixing and drying. The American company is located in Mahwah, New Jersey and, until this recent takeover, offered a competing range of equipment based on older Mannheim designs.

The American company will henceforth supply the latest Mannheim machine and system designs, including the ranges of specialised 'Perl Mills' (agitated media mills) and sophisticated reactor mixers.

The premises in Mahwah accommodate a fully equipped test station and laboratory along with up-to-date production facilities and an extensive spare parts stock. A complete team of process engineers, system and control engineers, technical sales staff and customer service personnel is already in place.
