Materials Congress 2002 Abstract Deadline Extended
The deadline for abstracts for the third Materials Congress, organised by the Institute of Materials, has been extended to 19 October 2001. This biennial event will next be held in London from 9-11 April 2002, under the theme 'Increasing Wealth and Quality of Life'.
The technical programme of Materials Congress 2002 will demonstrate the vast scope of materials science and technology and will focus on its impact on everyday life.
The congress has been endorsed by the Federation of Materials Societies as an event in the Topical Euromat series and, as such, will have a major European dimension. The programme will be linked in particular to the UK Materials Foresight programme and the materials research activities of the Engineering Council and the Physical Sciences Research Council, who are both supporting the event.
