Brick-Sized Tiles Launched by Pilkington's
Pilkington's Tiles (Clifton Junction, Manchester and Poole, Dorset - England) has launched a brand new product into its 'Directions' range. The addition to the established range of 100mm x 100mm tiles is a range of 200mm x 100mm 'brick' size tiles. These tiles will have all the characteristics of the original Directions range, including natural stone-look texture, subtle colour palette, two glaze options and a choice of distinctive decoration choices.
As the 200mm x 100mm size is increasingly becoming popular in the UK ceramic market, due to the influence of TV programmes and home interest magazines, the demand for natural looking product in this format has soared. The enduring trend for contemporary and minimalist interior design is still apparent in the UK market favouring this fashionable ceramic statement for both kitchens and bathrooms.
The new size can be used as an all over field tile in horizontal or vertical 'brick bond' fashion to create a feature design. To further enhance the design possibilities, the brick size can be mixed with 100mm x 100mm and the decorative choices of 'mosaic' and 'fossil' for maximum versatility and striking results.
