Belleek Pottery Picks Up Key Awards

Belleek Pottery Ltd (Belleek, Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland) recently attended the inaugural Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards, held in the Ramada Hotel, Belfast. The awards are designed to recognise organisations that operate best practice in the workplace and employment polices and procedures.

Belleek Pottery won the Highly Commended Award in the Cross Border Recruitment section for medium to large sized companies.

Tom Martin, Belleek Group Personnel Manager, was presented with the Award by Sir Reg Empey – the Minister for Employment and Learning in the new Northern Ireland Executive.

Belleek Pottery was also a recent Award Winner in the 2007 O2 Ability Awards held in Dublin Castle. These awards, which are organised by the Aisling Foundation, are designed to recognise organisations that operate best practice to help and encourage people with disabilities. The company was short-listed in the following categories – Environmental Accessibility and Recruitment and Selection.

Tom Martin was presented with the award by Micheál Martin – the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment in the Irish Government.
