Beaumont Acquires Drayton; New Kiln Company Established
The Beaumont Kilns Group (Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England) has acquired Drayton Kilns Ltd (Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, England). The purchase includes the buildings, contracts and employees of the company.Managing director Steve Beaumont stated that the Beaumont Kilns Group was delighted with the acquisition which he said would add strength to its already excellent reputation as quality international kiln manufacturers.
Drayton Kilns' reputation for quality and customer care was second to none, he added, and that company was working on or had recently completed major contracts for Saint-Gobain UK, Sanitec in Sweden, Golnama in Iran, and for Denby Pottery, Jacuzzi Bathrooms and Royal Doulton (all UK). Drayton Kilns had a portfolio going back over 35 years providing kilns to the brick, tile, sanitaryware and special ceramics industries.
Chairman Jack Beaumont stated that with the drive of the Beaumont Kilns Group, an extra dimension would be added to both companies.
The newly formed company will be called Drayton Beaumont Ltd and will operate from the Drayton Kilns 40,000 square foot site on the Newstead Trading Estate in Trentham.
