Leading Manufacturer of Capacitors for Wireless Selects interBiz's Supply Chain Platform

American Technical Ceramics Corp. (AMEX: AMK), a leading manufacturer of ceramic RF and microwave components, will implement PRMS, interBiz's flagship Enterprise Resource Planning solution, to improve and manage the supply chain.

American Technical Ceramics Corp. (ATC) designs and manufactures multilayer capacitors and thin film products for ultra-high frequency and microwave applications in wireless communications, medical electronics, and fiber optic communications. ATC first approached interBiz's Supply Chain Group for one plant in Florida but soon the company decided to deploy PRMS throughout the company. The interBiz solution allowed ATC to leverage its current IBM AS/400 infrastructure knowledge base.

"American Technical Ceramics' record growth is being fueled by our focus on supplying our customers quality components for wireless communications and medical electronics systems," said Victor Insetta, president and chief executive officer of American Technical Ceramics. "To help us manage our double-digit growth, we needed a supply chain solution that created full visibility of manufacturing to eliminate shop floor constraints and to allow for flexibility of scheduling. interBiz's platform provides a comprehensive solution that can be fully integrated into our current technology infrastructure."

PRMS offers ATC a tightly integrated suite of products and a full array of services that speed implementation and increase return-on-investment. With the PRMS application, ATC is afforded the flexibility to manage their custom as well as their repetitive manufacturing environments.

"ATC is growing quickly and needed a supply chain solution that allows the company to schedule their manufacturing jobs, manage their capacity, while allowing the company to maintain its rapid growth," said John McCarron, Senior Vice President and General Manager of interBiz Supply Chain Group. "Through PRMS, we're giving them the tools to control the shop floor and maintain quality while maximizing capacity by decreasing the time of the manufacturing cycle."
