New Sanitaryware Tunnel Kiln for Syrian Manufacturer Zanobia

An important Middle East contract has been secured by Sacmi-Riedhammer for a tunnel kiln with automatic kiln car handling system.

This supply has been made to one of the most important Syrian companies operating in the ceramics market with products ranging from floor and wall tiles to sanitaryware. Zanobia, based in Al-Kisweh near Damascus, is now equipped with a brand new sanitaryware tunnel kiln with a production output of 49 tonnes over 24 hours.

Made by Riedhammer – the Sacmi Group company – this new tunnel kiln is 102m long, 3.6m wide and has a useful height of 80cm. Riedhammer explained that thanks to the high-performance burners located both at the top and bottom, the firing temperature is extremely uniform throughout the kiln while specially provided injectors let air into the firing chamber.
