Thuringia Netzsch to supply another basin pressure casting unit to Japan

Thuringia Netzsch (Selb, Germany) will supply another pressure casting unit for wash basins to Asahi Sanitaryware Company in Japan. The units work with 11 moulds for wash basins and articles which can be cast in two-part moulds, such as columns, lids and cisterns.

The unit has three separate supplying systems to facilitate the production of articles with different casting parameters. Slip pressure, pressure increase, holding times and number of pressure steps - as well as blowing-out pressure and blowing-out time - can be individually adjusted for each cycle. Furthermore, releasing pressure and releasing time can be separately pre-selected for each mould.

To permit the production of large wash basins, the unit is provided for moulds of 1300mm x 950mm x 570mm. If moulds deeper than 570mm are used, the total number of moulds in the machine can be reduced. Thuringia Netzsch also supplies the know-how for the mould production to the customer, their staff having been trained by the company accordingly, so that all moulds can be manufactured in Japan.

Thuringia Netzsch says that due to the efficient mould construction and the appropriate know-how, it has already been asked to modify some competitors' machines for using Thuringia Netzsch technology, for example by customers in South America and Europe.
