US Brickmakers Go For Texture
The Brick Industry Association (Reston, VA, USA) says that US brick manufacturers are responding to an increasing home buyer demand for more textures that look hand-made - but cost less - with new, simulated hand-made brick faces that are more affordable. Enhanced by diverse clay resources and new manufacturing processes, new textures and colours continue to increase brick choices at every price point."Brick manufacturers across the country say home buyers want more texture options when choosing their brick," said Tom Perry, the BIA's Vice President, Marketing. "In response, they continue to create new, simulated handmade textures and greater colour choices that can deliver greater values for the brick dollar."
