Smaltochimica Appoint New Export Director
Dr Ivano Piccinini, President of Smaltochimica SpA (Spezzano di Fiorano, MO, Italy) has announced that from 1 January 2007, Dr Valte Cappellini commenced work as the new Export Director for Smaltochimica Group. Valte Cappellini, who holds a degree in foreign literature and languages and a Masters in Port Economics, has a wealth of experience in the ceramic tile industry.He worked in the Foreign Commercial Division of Bitossi Industries (Colorobbia Group) for over 10 years, he was the General Manager of Colorobbia Brazil for five years and was General Manager of System Group's Ceramic Division for six years. Smaltochimica, a leader in the production and trading of chemicals for the ceramic industry, says it is confident that Dr Cappellini's great experience and professional skills in developing and managing foreign markets will not only strengthen Smaltochimica's presence in these markets, but will also help Smaltochimica's continued expansion policy and mission to always deliver top quality technological solutions to customers.
Dr Cappellini's expertise in the field, as well as his other professional skills, will play a key role in improving the partnership with the company's customers and will, said Dr Piccinini, consolidate relationships based on mutual trust and collaboration.
Smaltochimica had shortly beforehand announced the termination of its agency agreement with Ege Kimya in the Turkish market, with effect from the beginning of the year. All commercial initiatives in Turkey will now be handled by Valte Cappellini.
