New High Temperature Ceramic-Silicone Sealant

Aremco Products Inc has announced the launch of Aremco-Seal 4030, a new single-part, water dispersed, ceramic-silicone sealant that is claimed to provide exceptional moisture resistance and dielectric properties to 1093°C. It has been developed for use on ceramic fibreboard and other ceramic-based materials used as electrical and thermal insulation in heaters, ovens and furnaces for a variety of end user industrial applications.

The product is formulated with a viscosity of 600cps to 1,200cps and is applied easily by brush, roller or spray equipment. It dries at room temperature in less than one hour and cures fully in 30-60 minutes at 232°C. The solids content is 40% and theoretical coverage rate at 1 mil is 535 square foot per gallon (US).

The sealant is said to be a non-flammable, environmentally safe sealant containing no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

It is available from stock in pint, quart, gallon and 5-gallon (US) containers.
