Sanikey: New Player in Turkish Ceramic Sanitaryware

A new player – Sanikey – has appeared on the quality sanitaryware production scene. Just recently its Turkey-based production plant was successfully started up. This was reportedly completed in Tuzla, Istanbul in record time – just four months – and has an output capacity of 200,000 pieces a year, both in vitreous china and fireclay.

The jewel in the crown of the product range is the large washbasin top. To manufacture these, Sanikey uses various high pressure casting machines, all supplied by Sacmi (Imola, BO, Italy). Employed machines range from the ALS 150, for washbasins, to the AVML 150, for WC production. Drying too is carried out using Sacmi-made machines – in this case shuttle dryers – while firing is carried out using a Riedhammer shuttle kiln.

Sanikey’s goal is to achieve excellence through quality. Hence the decision to install, in the very near future, a new glazing robot by Gaiotto Automation, a Sacmi Group company. This attentiveness to quality and design means that Sanikey is already doing business with Europe's major firms.
