Visitor Event at Royal Crown Derby
Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Co Ltd (Derby, England) has announced that its next Visitor Centre Event will for the first time take place over two days. The company's 'Spotty Pig' paperweight will be launched; this is exclusive to the Royal Crown Derby Visitor Centre in a limited edition of 1,500.
The designer of the paperweight, Tien Manh Dinh, will be much in demand as the artist in attendance on the first day, 26 February. Collectors will see the development of Tien's designs and gain an insight into his influences and future project ideas. Tien, who also designed the January release 'Citron Cockatoo', will be happy to sign product purchased on the day.
On 27 February, the Visitor Centre will welcome designer June Branscombe who designed this year's Collectors' Guild membership exclusive piece, the 'Snowy Owl'. A special commemorative invitation featuring the Snowy Owl paperweight will be issued for the event and June, who does not sign product, has agreed to sign the invitation for collectors purchasing the Snowy Owl on the day.
