Ceramic Powder Processing Workshop

Leeds University's School of Process, Environmental and Material Engineering has announced that it is to organise a Ceramic Powder Processing Workshop with a working theme of 'From Powder to Final Component'.

This course will provide an introduction to the field of ceramic powder processing. Starting with characterisation of powders, the course will cover milling and mixing, compaction, colloidal processing and sintering. The course is aimed at those process ceramic powders and those who fabricate or use ceramic components.

It is suitable for graduates in a materials discipline and for graduate level people of other disciplines now working in, or seeking, more in-depth knowledge of the ceramics area. The course would also suit graduates or post doctorates from other disciplines about to embark on research in the ceramics field.

The dates for this course have yet to be confirmed. To register your interest, e-mail Alison Whiteley: cpd.speme@leeds.ac.uk
