Safety & Efficiency Enhanced for Screening Ops

Russell Finex Ltd (Feltham, Middx, England) says it has made a major breakthrough in the safety and efficiency of customers' screening operations with the introduction of the new Russell Screen Changer. This unit is said to reduce the risk of injury to operators and damage to mesh when changing on sieves and separators.

The Screen Changer allows mesh screens to be changed quickly and easily without the need for manual lifting or additional tools. This improves productivity while safeguarding the health and safety of operators.

By allowing screens to be changed quickly by a single operator, the changer also reduces downtime and labour costs at every screen change, inspection or cleaning procedure.

The company said that this highly flexible unit could be used with most round separators from 48in to 60in diameter from almost any manufacturer. It lifts up to four decks at once, with or without deblinding devices, allowing even the bottom screen to be changed without disassembly of the decks above it.

The unit simply clicks into place and enables users to access any mesh screen in a matter of seconds. A rechargeable power pack is used to raise the decks above the screen you wish to change. You simply connect the hooks to the screener, remove the clamp from the relevant sieve deck and activate the lift button.
