Ceradyne Creates New Technology Post

Ceradyne Inc (Costa Mesa, CA, USA) has appointed Dr Thomas Juengling to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer. Included in the duties of this position will be the coordination of the research and development efforts in North America and at Ceradyne ESK Ceramics' R&D laboratories in Germany. Although Dr Juengling will coordinate all Ceradyne R&D efforts, the direct reporting organisation in Germany will remain unchanged.

Dr Juengling spent eight years at ESK Ceramics in a number of technical management positions and holds a PhD in Engineering & Materials Science from the University of Karlsruhe. He has relocated from Germany to accept this new position at the corporate HQ in Costa Mesa, California.

Ceradyne's CEO Joel Moskowitz said: "I am extremely pleased that Thomas has accepted the position of Chief Technology Officer. He is an accomplished technology manager and is respected on both sides of the Atlantic.
