Cerámica Malpesa Chooses Sacmi Heavy Clay

The Heavy Clay Division of Sacmi (Imola, BO, Italy) has scored another success in its penetration of the brick market with a major project awarded in Spain.

The Sacmi Heavy Clay Division has been chosen by long-standing Spanish clay product manufacturer Cerámica Malpesa SA as official supplier. At the production plant in Bailen, in the province of Jaén, Sacmi technicians are currently completing installation of a tunnel kiln for the manufacture of extruded facing bricks.

Over 176 metres long, with an effective load width of 7200mm and equipped with its own cars, the kiln will, once fully operative, have an output of over 500 tons of variously sized pieces per day.
