Update Released on Malaysian Based Event for Ceramic Industry

Despite initial fears of a negative reaction following the events of 11 September 2001, the organisers of CeramAsia 2002 have been pleased to announce increased recent interest in their forthcoming event and, with over 70% of the available space now sold, have appointed Project Management experts Expolog to ensure the smooth running of the event.

Major ceramic supply companies - including Ceric, Keller HCW, SACMI, Imerys, WBB, Degussa, Burton and Keda - have all confirmed their earlier interest and will, say the organisers, help to ensure that the Malaysian event will not be adversely affected by other, lesser shows planned in the region.

A major coup, additionally announced by the organisers, has been the interest of official national groups from Italy, the UK, Thailand, Sarawak and Western Malaysia.

Given the organiser's prime objective of supplying an attractive forum for Western ceramic suppliers to meet a large regional audience, current feedback is said to suggest that local visitors will have ample opportunity to consider the materials and products of a comprehensive range of world-wide companies, all backed by a two-day Technical Conference featuring globally renowned experts from a varied and diverse selection of disciplines.
