Luzenac Announces New Business Units

Luzenac Group (Toulouse, France), leading talc producer, has announced the extension of its business unit organisation model world-wide, effective 1 January 2005. The four new global Business Units are centred on Luzenac's core markets:

• Specialties - comprising ceramics, personal care, agriculture & food, and wastewater treatment
• Paints & Coatings
• Paper
• Polymers
  
  The Business Units, with their sales and development departments, are based at the company's regional headquarters in Toulouse, Denver and Singapore.
  
  Jerry Gauntt, formerly VP Business Development and Marketing, has been appointed Vice-President of the new Worldwide Specialties Business Unit.
  
  World-wide market development for ceramics has been entrusted to Pierre Grosjean. Sales to the ceramics market will be managed by Jean-Michel Pacallet (Director Specialties BU-Europe) for Europe and John Erskine for the Americas.
  
  Commenting on the new organisation, Jerry Gauntt said: "The new structure will enhance our global offer and improve efficiency".
