Chinese refractories industry records a first in Europe
It has been announced that Luoyang Refractories Company (Luoyang, Henan Province, PR China) has won a bid for the supply of 7,671 tons of silica bricks for a coke oven project in Italy. This is the first time that a Chinese refractories enterprise has been successful in winning a contract to supply a whole set of silica bricks for a European iron and steel industry customer. A small quantity of silica bricks had previously been exported from China to Europe for coke oven repair.
