Kirov Orders New Plant for Sanitaryware Production

Russian sanitaryware manufacturer ZAO Kirovskij Strojfarfor has ordered another Sacmi static plaster mould dryer. This machine can dry up to 144 plaster moulds using a 3-3.5-day cycle at a maximum temperature of 90°C.

The dryer comes complete with a PLC electrical panel that allows the drying curve to be managed via automatic control of humidity and temperature parameters. The moulds are positioned inside the dryer in wire baskets (dimensions 1000mm x 1100mm x 1200mm high); each one contains two moulds and the baskets are stacked in pairs.

The dryer has been divided into two chambers to optimise drying cycles and maximise production flexibility. It is heated with steam at 110°C, but gas and super-heated steam versions are also available.
