Kermat: Exhibitors Take Stage at International Symposia

Two days entirely dedicated to international symposia on advanced ceramics are scheduled for 29 and 30 September during a major exhibition in Italy this year.

For the third time, Tecnargilla 2010 – to be held in Rimini, Italy from 27 September–1 October – will be featuring Kermat, a section dedicated to technical ceramics and advanced ceramic materials that offers a special point of contact between research and industry. On exhibit will be raw materials, semi-finished products and components, articles made with special ceramics, applications for materials, technological processes, inspection equipment and systems for the production of nanoceramic materials.

As usual, the expo will be accompanied by two days of in-depth exploration of technological issues entirely dedicated to the latest frontiers of ceramics R&D.

Technological symposia are scheduled for 29 and 30 September 2010. The preliminary calendar includes two main initiatives: an international symposium on the latest applications for technical ceramics, primarily focused on construction, alternative energy, environmental protection, nanomaterials and surface functionalisation; and Technology Transfer Day for ceramic materials, processes and systems, putting research institutes and scientists in touch with leading companies and figures in the industrial sector.

On the second day, exhibitors in the Kromatech section will have the chance to present reports on their latest innovations and research at one of the scheduled conferences.

Sponsored by ACIMAC (Association of Italian Constructors of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics) and ISTEC (Institute of Science and Research for Ceramics) the Ceramic TTD – Technology Transfer Day is a platform for bringing together supply and demand for technology, (based on the website www.ceramicttd.it), that offers the opportunity to come into contact with leading companies and international players in the ceramics sector, to forge business-oriented and technological partnerships, developments and explorations of new technology and applications, joint ventures and implementations of current studies and research.
