Intercolor Installs New Spray Dryer at Anagni

The industrial partnership between Sacmi (Imola, BO, Italy) and the leading Italian ceramic colour producers goes from strength to strength. This is backed up by the announcement of the latest such order, consisting of the installation of a second spray dryer for dry glazes at the new Intercolor plant in Anagni, in the province of Frosinone. The machine, an up-to-the-minute ATM04, is able to evaporate a massive 600 litres of water per hour.

This spray dryer, which recently came on line at Intercolor, was designed by Sacmi according to specific particle size distribution and moisture content requisites as set down by the company. A personalised solution, then, based on the assumption that the dry glazes must be suitable for the various application methods developed by the ceramic industry over the years. Moreover, the materials supplied to the Anagni-based company also include process filters with Teflon-coated ceramidic sleeves.

This installation is merely the latest in a wide range of industrial projects involving Sacmi and the market’s major ceramic colour producers. Over the last few years, in fact, orders placed with Sacmi have expanded the machine pools of Colorobbia, Endeka, Esmalglass, Vetriceramici, Smalticeram, Torrecid and Colorveggia.
