Haddad Group Launches New Tile Plant

The assembly of a new Siti–B&T production unit is almost complete at the factory of Latino Ceram II of the Algerian Haddad Group, one of the most important and busiest production enterprises in this sector in the country.

It is the third line dedicated to the production of skirting board tiles supplied by Siti–B&T Group over a total of six lines installed at the factories of the Haddad Group since 2003. Major investments have led the Haddad Group to put its whole trust in the technology offered by Siti–B&T and the company has been contracted to manufacture the following tile manufacturing systems over the last few years:

-- Line for monoporosa/skirting board tiles started up in 2003 with a nominal 2000m2/day capacity

-- Line for skirting board tiles started up in 2005 with a nominal 2000m2/day capacity

-- Line for small tile sizes, started up in 2006 with a nominal 1500m2/day capacity

-- Line for floor tiles started up in 2007 with a nominal 4800m2/day capacity

-- Line for floor tiles started up in 2008 with a nominal 5100m2/day capacity

-- Line for monoporosa and skirting board tiles to be started up 2009 with a nominal 2000m2/day capacity

The main process machines supplied by Siti–B&T Group include a Magnum press, a horizontal dryer and a single-channel roller kiln with maxi compenser. The line is completed with the storage system that serves the main process machines.

The production rate of the line is estimated to be 2000m2/day of skirting board tiles measuring 80mm x 300mm with the possibility to produce monoporosa wall tiles measuring 200mm x 250mm.

The new factory should be started up this month.
