Florida Zircon Sands Get Price Hike
DuPont Titanium Technologies (Wilmington, DE, USA) has announced a global price increase for Florida Zircon Sands.
Effective on 1 January 2004, or as permitted by contract, prices for Florida Zircon Sands have been increased by US$100 per ton in the United States.
Zircon sands are comprised of five grades of zircon and other mineral content. The product is used in such business segments as refractory, ceramic, foundry, precision investment casting and television glass.
This price increase is based on current high capacity utilisation rates, low inventories and leading economic indicators that support the strengthening global economy and improving market conditions.
