Degussa-Hüls announces prices increases for sodium and potassium cyanides with immediate effect
Degussa-Hüls announces to increase the prices for sodium and potassium cyanides by USD 0.07/lb. The increase will apply to spot contracts and to contractual customers as contract terms permit. This increase pays tribute to continued rising cost for raw materials and increasing transport cost.
Early in 2001, Degussa-Hüls AG and SKW Trostberg will merge to create the new Degussa AG, which will be the world's largest specialty chemicals company. It will have sales of approximately EUR 16 billion, with 63,000 employees worldwide and a foreign revenues share of more than 70%.
