Access to degradation technology

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL, Teddington, Middx, England) is to hold an event to transfer knowledge and technology from the work of the 4.5 million 'Degradation of Materials in Aggressive Environments (DME)' programme.

The DTI supported DME programme, which is due for completion in March 2001, contains research on aqueous corrosion, high temperature corrosion and polymer degradation. The event at the Motor Heritage Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire, will enable visitors to obtain the latest results of the programme in addition to discussing relevant issues directly with the project leaders. The National Corrosion Service (NCS) will also offer confidential advice to companies on all corrosion issues.
