Change is Byword for DECO

DECO has shifted from its usual autumn timeslot to the beginning of the year and its theme this time round is 'Change - Focus on Tomorrow'. Organised by the Society of Glass & Ceramic Decorators (Bethesda, MD, USA), DECO is described as the only trade show in the world held exclusively for glass and ceramic decorators. Exhibitors from many countries display leading edge decorating equipment, materials and services to visitors representing companies that decorate glass and ceramicware.

DECO 2002 will take place from 23-26 February 2002 at the Hyatt Regency, Crystal City, Arlington, VA, USA.

SGCD's seminar this year will focus on change and how to prepare for the future in the global decorating market, including sessions on teambuilding and innovative techniques to increase production efficiency. In addition, technical sessions provide the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations related to decals, colours, precious metals, firing, design, flat glass coatings and other topics.

SGCD is also offering a First Step seminar for decorator and vendor employees who are relatively new to the decorating industry. These programmes will be of interest to members and others who have not regularly attended SGCD programmes.

DECO will also feature the announcement of the 2002 Discovery Awards and the winning items will be displayed at the expo, showcasing outstanding glass and ceramic products from around the world.

Delegates can register on-line at: www.sgcd.org
